Will the knowledge I learn from reading books on past-life regression possibly influence or bias my responses while under regression hypnosis?
It shouldn't bias you, but allow you to open up to what you might think was purely imagination, and thus allow you to have a more powerful regression experience. Your experience will be on many levels, not just a mental one.
I have never been hypnotized and may not easily enter a state of hypnosis. What is the success rate with your clients as far as getting them hypnotized?
Hypnosis is allowing yourself to go deeply into a relaxed, focused state, where your body is "asleep" and your mind is alert. It is a natural process that is moved in and out of many times a day: when you are falling asleep, or when you are deeply focused on thoughts while driving a car, (you'll know because when you reach your destination and you try to recall the details of driving, for instance how many stop lights or passing a friend and not seeing them and you really cannot remember the details); or another example is reading a book or watching a movie and you don't immediately hear the phone ringing or someone calling you. These are all forms of "hypnosis" and it is a very natural state to utilize. Going into a very deep state takes trust and practice, but a light trance state is all that is necessary to recall past-life memories. Some people are able to go very deep in the first session, others need more practice. Each therapist develops their own style, and mine is based on my own experiences and training. I have a background in mathematics and accounting and spent four years of college being very left-brained. When I began to meditate and do regression work over 20 years ago, it was very difficult for me at first. I think my having had this difficulty has made me a better regression therapist because I understand how hard it can be to slow down the analytical part of the brain, and so I have a very high rate of success. You will definitely have an experience, but it is you who will be doing the work, I can only guide you. If you are open and willing, then it just flows easily. If you think you won't have an experience, then it makes it much harder to have one. Intent is 50% of this work, truly it is. I am constantly amazed at how each session is unique yet flows so naturally to help my clients reach their goals. Preparing yourself by taking time out every day to quiet your mind, slow down your breathing and just feel yourself expand in consciousness is a wonderful exercise to prepare for regression and life between life work. Everyone is different in their abilities to process, and that is the therapist's job to figure what yours are and utilize them so the door can be opened to your soul memories and guidance.
What does it "feel like" to go from consciousness into a hypnotized state?
Most people say it feels like imagination and that you made it all up. You will feel very relaxed and peaceful, and you will be very aware of being present in my office - yet letting go and focusing on what is happening in this dreamy state. You will be doing two things at once (i.e. driving a car, yet totally engrossed on thoughts and feelings that you are on "autopilot" driving). I have my own methods of guiding a person to get them within with minimal left brain interference so that it feels very natural. You are never "under" hypnosis. You are going within or expanding your consciousness to experience more than you normally allow yourself to. Most humans use a small percentage of their brain, and I will gently push you to begin to use much more. You have total control at all times and I reiterate this to every client during the session. Some people do not allow themselves to let go and be guided for various reasons - one being that they are just not comfortable with the person guiding them. This is very, very important. Some people think that they were not "hypnotized" after we are done our session, but looking at the clock to see how much time has passed, or recalling the experience is usually enough proof.
I can explain what it feels like for me. It has changed and grown over the many years of doing this work. In the beginning, it was not as easy to shift my brain as I can now. I would start having "something" happen and get so excited (my left brain kicking in) that I would "pop" out of it. Very frustrating. With practice I was able to push further into the realms I always felt existed, yet mentally did not have an explanation for. I have done a tremendous amount of work at The Monroe Institute (in Faber, VA) for personal growth. I use what I have learned and experienced there with every client. I can now very easily slip into whatever level of consciousness I want to for whatever reason. But it does take practice. It is like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets. And it does feel amazing.
Is it possible that I will be unable to recall any past life or spirit world memories?
If you don't then we go where you need to first because your higher self will be my guide. Sometimes the answer is in the current life and must be worked through before we can move anywhere else. Being grounded and prepared to expand your conscious awareness is very important. I take my cues from your higher self. Everyone, and I do mean every one of my clients, has an important experience when I work with them, and we don't always go into a past life memory. Sometimes they need to just be in the in-between lives state and receive guidance and healing there. Sometimes they go into progressions - going into a future life, or the future of their current life. Sometimes we just simply need to work on forgiving themselves in the current life.
Based on your experience with clients, what are the usual limits as far as questioning the soul mind? Would I be able to recall information on subjects like: Jesus, locations of planets other than our own that contain life, descriptions of alien life forms, my spirit name, the reason why I chose to incarnate in my current body, the name of my spirit guide, the identity of the souls who are incarnating as my immediate family and friends, my soul mate, the number of times I have incarnated on earth, my current level of soul achievement etc.
There are no limits - only those one allows themselves to believe exists. If you just have fun with the experience, it opens the doors to things you normally would limit yourself from. I can't answer where you will go. It is not uncommon to go to other planets where your soul has had an experience. I have had people go to the beginning of the earth, during its creation, not being in a human form but more of a consciousness/spirit and having memories surface from these experiences. Some people "travel out there" and have experiences with other life forms and energy systems. Guiding you to get answers to whatever questions you have is what I do best. I'll help you to access the information, as you have all these answers already within you. The answer here is "yes" to all of the above.
How many lives can I explore? Can I see how I died in a past life, as well as witness my transition back into the spirit world?
Again, there are no limits. It will depend on your ability to process. Accessing information comes from the heart, and opening up the heart without judgment from the mind is the key. It is most common to access at least one past lifetime in a session. I tell my clients who have never done this work before that the first session is to really learn the process of accessing information. After that it gets easier and easier and we can "pop" around all over the place - as there are no limits of time and space. We can touch on many lifetimes in one session if that is what is needed, or we thoroughly process one or two lives and move into the spiritual state or in between lifetimes. It is my practice to take a person through at least one death experience because it is so important, and I usually take them to the soul level and beyond, connecting with guidance and higher knowledge.
Does age have any effect on what I may or may not be able to experience?
Not at all. My youngest regression client was 6, and my oldest was 92. Your soul is ageless.
Will I emerge with a clear, long lasting memory of my experiences?
Yes. I will give you the suggestion to return with whatever you wish to retain consciously. You will also have an audio copy of the session to listen to whenever you wish afterwards. Oftentimes, once the door is opened with a session, more information will continue to flow after your session is over.
During a session when you ask someone if they recognize the person or people they're witnessing in their past life that may be in their present life, in what form or in what medium does the recognition manifest itself?
One way that a lot of people "recognize" other souls as being in their present life as someone they know is by their eyes. That old saying that "the eyes are the window to the soul" is very, very true. So there is something people recognize in the eyes. They look into someone's eyes and they see someone else or just "know" the familiarity or it brings a on certain feeling, etc. And this happens both in a past-life regression, and in the conscious life. Another way of recognition comes from the energy or "essence" of the person. Again it is a familiarity or knowing that one feels, it is a certain vibration. Some people know by a smile, or a gesture. It is unique to each person as how this discernment comes.
Extremely normal. It may change and develop for you as you continue to work with it. And your deep desires must come from somewhere in you, right? Why not from something your soul remembers and knows?
